John Jacobsen is head of engineering at Quirky, a New York-based company that is changing the way the world thinks about product development.
Quirky brings two brand new consumer products to market each week, by enabling a fluid conversation between a global community and Quirky’s expert product design staff.
John Jacobsen has been applying his expertise in 3D design and engineering to the domain of product development for almost two decades.
He has worked for renowned firms like Smart Design and Design Partners creating iconic, award winning and patented products for brands such as OXO Good Grips, Shell Black Magic, Flip Video, Logitech, Corningware and Pyrex.
As a strategic consultant, he has worked to bridge the gap between design and engineering for clients such as Airbus, Ford, General Motors, Vespa, Pininfarina, Ferrari, Canon and Seiko.
Currently as Head of Engineering, Research & Development for Quirky, John is responsible for making invention accessible—perfecting design concepts and bringing well engineered products to life.
